The North Star Love Project offers dating and relationship coaching, educational content, and personal development services. While some members of our team may hold professional licenses, our services are not a substitute for therapy, mental health treatment, or medical advice unless explicitly stated.
Coaching outcomes vary and are not guaranteed. All clients are responsible for their own decisions, actions, and experiences. By using this website or participating in our services, you agree to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Effective Date: May 1, 2025
By purchasing any product, program, coaching session, workshop, or digital offering through The North Star Love Project, you (hereinafter referred to as "Client") agree to the following legally binding terms and conditions ("Agreement") between you and The North Star Love Project (hereinafter referred to as "Coach").
1. Scope of Services
The North Star Love Project provides dating and relationship coaching, workshops, digital courses, and downloadable resources for educational and personal development purposes only. While some team members may be licensed therapists, unless explicitly stated, our services do not constitute therapy, mental health treatment, or medical advice.
No Client-Coach Relationship Guarantee: Purchase or participation does not automatically create a professional-client relationship. We reserve the right to decline service to any individual at our discretion.
2. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
All tools, session materials, exercises, videos, written content, and workshop content are the intellectual property of The North Star Love Project.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use materials for personal use only. Commercial use, resale, reproduction, or redistribution is prohibited without prior written permission.
Use of Content and Attribution
Clients may quote or share Thena’s publicly available content (such as social media posts, podcast interviews, or published writing) with proper credit. However, private content—including anything shared during coaching sessions, private workshops, or inside digital programs—may not be quoted, paraphrased, or shared publicly without prior written permission. Attribution alone does not constitute permission.
Participation in live coaching sessions means you agree to maintain the confidentiality of other participants and their shared experiences.
3. Community Guidelines (if applicable)
If you participate in any community space hosted by The North Star Love Project (e.g., private groups or digital forums), you agree to contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment. We reserve the right to remove any participant for disruptive, harmful, or inappropriate behavior. The Coach is not responsible for the actions or content of other participants and does not monitor community activity 24/7.
4. Payment Terms
Clients agree to pay in full for all purchases unless a payment plan is explicitly offered and selected. You are responsible for maintaining accurate and current payment information. Payments may be processed through third-party platforms, and you agree to comply with their terms and policies.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Digital products and downloads: Non-refundable upon purchase.
Coaching sessions and workshops: All sales are final. No refunds for cancellations, no-shows, or unused sessions. You may request to reschedule a coaching session with at least 24 hours’ notice; rescheduling is subject to availability and not guaranteed.
Coach-initiated cancellations: In the rare event of a cancellation due to Coach's illness, emergency, or tech issues, a reschedule or credit will be offered.
Group programs or live events: Non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
Session Expiry: All coaching sessions and packages must be used within one (1) year of the purchase date unless otherwise specified in writing. Unused sessions will expire after this period.

6. Technology Disclaimer
You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate technology to access services and materials. While Coach is not responsible for technical issues on the Client’s end, if a session is disrupted due to Coach-side tech failure, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule or restore lost time.
7. Medical Disclaimer
Our services and materials are not a substitute for therapy, counseling, or medical treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, we strongly recommend contacting a licensed healthcare provider. Your participation is voluntary, and you assume full responsibility for your emotional and physical well-being.
8. No Guarantees
We aim to provide guidance, support, and tools for growth—but we do not guarantee specific outcomes. Results may vary based on your unique situation and choices. This includes (but is not limited to) outcomes related to relationships, dating, or emotional healing.
Client understands that Coach is not acting as a licensed therapist, attorney, financial advisor, or medical professional unless explicitly stated. Client accepts full responsibility for their decisions, actions, and results, and agrees not to hold Coach liable for outcomes associated with services.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The North Star Love Project, its team, affiliates, and partners from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your participation, use of services, or violation of these Terms.
This indemnification does not apply in cases of Coach’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.
10. Dispute Resolution
If a concern arises, we ask that you first reach out directly by emailing hello@thenorthstarloveproject.com. We will respond within 7 business days and do our best to resolve the issue in good faith.
If unresolved, both parties agree to resolve the dispute through binding arbitration in the State of California under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and enforceable.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of California. Venue for any dispute shall be Santa Clara County, California.
12. Amendments
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. You will be notified of any material changes via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of services after the update constitutes acceptance.
Material changes include significant revisions to refund policy, dispute resolution, or scope of services. Cosmetic or minor clarifications do not constitute material changes.
13. Data Privacy & Protection
We take your privacy seriously. The North Star Love Project uses third-party platforms including Squarespace, Google Forms, and Kit to collect and manage information securely.
We only collect personal data necessary to provide our services (such as name, email, session notes, or intake forms), and this data is stored securely. Your information is never sold or shared.
You may request access to your information or request deletion by emailing hello@thenorthstarloveproject.com. We comply with privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and, to the extent applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, you will be notified in accordance with applicable laws.
14. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond reasonable control, including illness, family emergency, natural disaster, internet failure, or government action. In such cases, the Coach will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or offer service credit.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages—including lost profits, emotional distress, or data loss—arising from participation in services. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by Client for the specific service.
16. Severability
If any part of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
17. Non-Transferability
Clients may not assign or transfer this Agreement or access to any product, service, or program without prior written consent from Coach.
18. Client Rights
Clients of The North Star Love Project have the right to:
Be treated with respect and dignity
Receive services in alignment with ethical standards and professional boundaries
Request clarification on services, fees, or expectations
Review or delete personal data we have collected
File a concern or complaint without retaliation
